Since the road leading to Teluk Bahang, Penang, is spiked with 5-star hotels and other accommodations of the lower order, there are bound to be a lot of hungry people.
This restaurant opens its doors wide open for hungry customers.

The Batu Ferringhi pasar malam suffers from one thing - too many bodies, too narrow space.
And there are a trite too many foreigners as well. This phenomenon can make life difficult for bargain hunters, if you catch my drift.

Penang is a place where bargaining is almost compulsory. Of course there are some places where they actually frown on haggling but we will not talk about these unsporting vendors.
This place is hagglers’ haven. But don’t cut the price of RM30 to RM3. You can start a serious misunderstanding.

I have been to quite a few pasar malams in my lifetime but the one at Batu Ferringhi, Penang takes the cake, the candles and the table as well!
It is certainly the longest I have ever come across. Only one word to describe it: WOW!
