Baby monkeys of the silver-leafed species like those which can be found in Bukit Melawati in Kuala Selangor have orange-gold fur.
So they are quite attractive at this stage of their development. That phase will soon pass and their fur will change to that standard silver-grey colour for adult Silver-leafed monkeys.

ive never seen a yellow monkey heys so cute
Ailise, these golden baby silver-leaf monkeys are even cuter in real life.

Hello

I live in Malaysia, not far from Kuala Selangor where a rather large population live by the mangrove swamp. A total population of around 300, divided in 4 large groups. A few years ago, a severe drought has obliged these shy monkeys to go towards human habitations . They have found out that they were well received. They are now a popular feature by the light house. I personally go there quite often with large offerings of bread, papayas, bananas, watermelon ,cucumbers, green beans and the favorite green bananas. These monkeys are friendly, will climb on you without scratching or pinching, you can hand feed them without fear of being bitten. I have many pictures of these nice little guys with their bright red babies. These are my favorite monkeys of all times
Francoise, you are one of the lucky ones. Some Malaysians live all their lives in cities and have not caught a glimpse of these very cute furry creatures.
hi,this monkey is so adorable! Is that the monkey’s parents holding it?This monkey is very interesting.
