Cool it at Frim’s waterfall December 27, 2007

There comes a time in everyone’s life when the heart and soul yearn for that special communion with nature. If you are staying in Klang Valley or thereabouts, there should be at least one waterfall nearby.
Let’s not talk about the “watering holes”. At Frim’s forest reserve in Kepong, there is that not-so-secret waterfall of residential proportions. Come weekends, families will zero in on the spot of mountain water cascading down the slippery slopes.
Children, fathers and mothers will deposit their little ones at the water edge to frolick while they hang around and breathe in the fresh air and read newspapers. I like places like that because it serves as a reminder that no matter how much we deny it, we do need the magnificence of nature to remind us all that in the end, we too shall return to earth.
