Masjid Jamek is located in the confluence of two rivers in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.
On its muddy banks began the commercial centre of what KL is today. It holds many stories within its grounds.
The British and the Moghul influences are inherent in its design and layout. That’s what made this house of worship so special and the heritage of Malaysia so rich.

Deep in the heartland of the native bladesmiths lies masterpieces by makers unknown.
There are a select few bladesmiths who have honed their skills over the decades. Only the discerning and collectors know of their existence.
In Malaysia, their craft lives and thrives with the enthusiasm of knife collectors and those who use them for utilitarian purposes.

There are some big aquariums around the world. Melbourne has one, so has Kuala Lumpur. The one you are looking at is on Sentosa island, Singapore.
It’s a great place to bring the family. Nothing like sharks swimming overhead and giving you the jitters when you stare at their big jaws.
It is also an educational and informational experience too. Okay, let’s go swimming.

Malaysia's national park or Taman Negara
In the foreground is Mutiara Taman Negara. It is a 5-star holiday resort that is located at the periphery of the rainforest.
The river is wide and long. Opposite is Kampung Gunung Tahan. It is literally the last glimpse of civilisation that you will see before you cross the river and move over to the wild side.
Taman Negara must be experienced because in many ways it defies description. If you ever want to experience the tropical jungle, this is it. Try it and really live.
Tallest sandwich in the world? October 25, 2008

By now, most of us should have gotten used to seeing spectacular events at major shopping centres in Klang Valley. However, earlier this year, even yours truly was taken aback by what was claimed to be the tallest sandwich in the world.
If you have not seen thousands of sandwiches stacked horizontally one on top of another and it stretched about 50 feet into the air, you really don’t know what you are seeing.
What crossed my mind at that time was what were they going to do with all those sandwiches after the events? I got hungry even thinking about the possibilities.
