Dungun’s jewel on Terengganu’s crown August 11, 2006

Dungun used to be an iron mining town back in the 1940s. The iron ore was actually mined in a place further inland called Bukit Besi.

Dungun was the town that was a conduit to transport the iron ore to ships.
