70,000 volumes of Buddhist sutras at Kek Lok Si August 12, 2006

When Manchu Emperor Kwang Xi heard about the beauty and uniqueness of the Kek Lok Si Temple, he presented it with 70,000 volumes of the Imperial edition of Buddhist Sutras, together with his own hand-written scripts and other relics.

Empress Cixi of the Ching Dynasty also presented the temple with her own hand-written scripts.
