Everybody knows Ayer Itam is famous for its laksa. Well, things have changed a little. The laksaman is still there but the old huts and wooden buildings are quickly making way for structures like the above.

Not every Penangite welcomes this kind of developments. It breaks their hearts to know that the old world charm is slipping away.
