This is one of Penang’s prettiest cemeteries. It is along Western Road, or Jalan Utama (I think). It is a cemetery where Catholics and Protestants are buried.

See, all are equal on the point of death! I have a large number of relatives resting permanently here. Just goes to prove the point that life is short no matter how long you live.

Visited the Cemetry in November 2006 trying to find the graves of friends and relatives..was approached by a worker suggesting that I pay some tipping money to get information regarding the location. Also needed money for his family as business was slow…found the cemetry was neglected and had a pack of stray dogs roaming it….DISAPPOINTING!

Eddy, the cemetery has an office somewhere, perhaps at the cemetery area.

I recall going there once. Information is provided free. You can trace dead relatives. They have old records.

No need to pay anything but the workers there do survive on doing menial work to supplement their income. It all depends on the visitor.
