There’s gold in Little India April 18, 2007Posted by asianpixmen in Activities, Craft, India, Malaysia, People, Places.
IT has been a long time since I have seen gold ornaments being done the old fashioned way. Recently, when I was window-shopping in Penang’s Little India, I cam across a shop that still practises the old golden ways.
There were little gold trinklets that seemed best done the old way. It is a small, unassuming shop of golden proportions.
I could see that the staff there have been with the company for a long time. It was an educational experience to learn that no matter how heavy your told is, the old fire and hammer style is still unbeatable.
It’s simple, and straightforward and there are customers who only want it done the ancient way. Gold is gold. No matter how you bite it, it is still authentic.
