Letting Light Into Our Hearts May 4, 2007Posted by asianpixmen in Malaysia, Miscellaneous.
One day in a contemplative mood, I spotted this scene early in the morning when the rays of the sun were peeping through the curtains.
It dawned on me that the composition and the play of light and shadows had a tale of their own. The face on the wall is that of Jeshua Ben Joseph, a Nazarene who lived two thousand years ago.
He walked on earth at a time when many souls were troubled, and he left many a parable and performed countless miracles. That morning as I stared at the wall and the picture, it suddenly became clear that to allow Jeshua’s light to shine into our soul, we must first open the window to our heart.
The window can only open from the inside because we are inside. Jeshua is always there. He must be invited before he can walk into our lives – much like the sunlight that comes into our household.
Thus, the message of this picture – Jeshua Ben Joseph is waiting patiently for us to open the door of our heart to let him in.
