The food of the common people – nasi lemak October 14, 2007Posted by asianpixmen in Activities, Culture, Food, Malaysia, People, Places.
If not for nasi lemak, I don’t know how many workers in Malaysia would have gone to office hungry.
This is Malaysia’s “saving grace”. Tell anybody, from three-year-olds, onwards about nasi lemak, and they would know what you are talking about. That is, unless you are talking to a Kajikistan tourist who has just stepped off the plane at KLIA.
Nasi lemak has served this nation well for centuries, OK, maybe generations. There is good nasi lemak, and there is average nasi lemak.
If you want to taste good nasi lemak, watch out for the big crowds. There is always a good reason why people crowd around a nasi lemak stall.
