If you have the good fortune of visiting YingGe, the pottery or ceramics town in Taiwan, be sure to get a souvenir before you leave. It is one of those quaint places in beautiful Taiwan that holds pottery lovers spellbound during the duration of their visit.

YingGe is about an hour’s drive from Taipei. Its main street is lined on both sides by pottery shops of all kinds. Really quite an interesting sight and definitely an interesting life experience. If you go during summer, the weather will allow you to stroll for hours without breaking out into a sweat!
