A lot of foreign tourists know that in some Southeast countries, watches are so cheap that it would be a sin to come here and go home without buying at least two or three watches.

Frankly, there’s is nothing like the genuine stuff but for the rest of us who do not suffer from sleepless nights wearing those cheaper-than-normal watches, then you can “show off” to your friends that you have a sparkling new watch that tells fairly accurate time.

Through the years, on personal experience, friends have told me that it is a myth that branded watches tell better time than 10-dollar watches. With technology, it is reasonable to expect a cheap watch to function well for at least a year or two.

So if you are not too fussy, any watch will do. Otherwise, save up and get the really expensive stuff. There are some people who will only go for the best.
